She has also been a source of inspiration for many readers, especially those who may be dealing with physical disabilities or other challenges in their own lives.Born in Salem, Oregon, Cassandra Webb is a paraplegic and is blind after being struck with myasthenia gravis, a disease that erodes the nervous system. She has been a mentor to many of Marvel's superheroes, including Spider-Man, and has played a key role in many of their adventures.
